Job summary

Covalent Lithium is seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead to drive the procurement function at our Kwinana site. This role ensures timely PO placement, supplier coordination, and adherence to cost targets.

You will oversee the Purchasing Officers, manage ERP processes (SAP) and develop efficient purchasing workflows, with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role supports a full‑time, on‑site work environment and offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Purchasing & Procurement or equivalent required.
• Diploma or tertiary qualifications advantageous.
• CIPS or APICS qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee purchasing activities, including PR-to-PO conversion and daily workload management.
• Lead the Purchasing team, including daily/weekly meetings, performance management, training and development.
• Develop and maintain purchasing processes, procedures, standard work and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimise purchasing processes to deliver cost savings and efficiencies.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with Covalent policies, procedures, budgets and expenditure controls.
• Partner with the business and end users to ensure purchasing requirements are efficiently and effectively met.
• Manage supplier relationships and promote the use of approved vendors and established contracts.
• Oversee SAP purchasing master data, purchase orders and Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) processes.
• Liaise with Finance and Supply Chain to resolve purchasing, invoicing and procurement matters.
• Monitor and expedite overdue goods and services, providing support to the Manager Supply Chain as required.
