Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for its WWPS Greenfield team in Sydney. You will lead complex, new-to-cloud public sector engagements across ANZ, shaping cloud adoption and guiding the SA team with strategic, business-aware technical leadership.

You will collaborate with Account Executives, design tailored architectures for security and compliance, and mentor junior SAs to raise the capability of the organisation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical leadership for the most complex new-to-cloud public sector customers across ANZ.
• Build trusted relationships with senior public sector leaders and understand procurement constraints.
• Partner with Account Executives on territory strategy and deployment priorities.
• Design and deliver tailored cloud architectures aligned with public sector requirements (security, compliance, data sovereignty).
• Mentor and develop junior Solutions Architects and build team capability.
• Uphold quality standards for discovery outputs, architecture documents, proposals, and presentations.
