Gilmour Space Technologies, located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, is seeking a Principal Propulsion Engineer (Fluid Systems) to lead the design, analysis and testing of propulsion fluid systems for our rocket programs. This senior role demands strong technical leadership and a track record delivering complex fluid systems in aerospace environments.

Formación

• Degree in engineering (Bachelor's or Master's) or higher.
• 10+ years in propulsion, aerospace or mechanical fluid systems.
• 5+ years with at least one CFD/FEA package (ANSYS preferred).
• 5+ years CAD design of parts and assemblies (NX/Teamcenter preferred).
• Experience leading a team and delivering projects on time and budget.
• Design and build fluid systems for gases and cryogenic temps.
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the selection, design, analysis and testing of fluid systems for launch vehicles (pressurisation, feed, RCS, propellant management).
• Lead R&D projects from concept to completion with minimal guidance.
• Support testing of propulsion fluid systems and assist in failure investigations.
• Review and approve fluid system designs and analyses to meet requirements and standards.
• Produce document packages for design reviews (PDR, CDR) and test operations (TRR, TRB).
• Set and maintain fluid system design and analysis standards across the team and company.
• Support launch preparations and launch operations as needed.
• Coordinate with head of propulsion, program managers and teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance on fluid systems as requested by leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• Perform other duties as requested by Management.
