Salary: HSO Level G8 $135,972 - $140,644 per annum

Location: Perth

Unit/Division: East Metropolitan Health Service > EMHS - Innovation and Research

This is a recruitment for a permanent full-time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight.

Position Profile: The Senior Project Officer - Innovation operates in a Research and Innovation funded environment and is responsible for contributing to the success of the Innovation Hub by:

  • Leading a variety of innovation activities
  • Building effective and sustainable relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Progressing ideas through the Innovation Hub process
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating innovation projects and meeting timeframes, facilitating stakeholder involvement and transition to business as usual through site governance structures
  • Providing innovation consultation services to internal and external stakeholders including problem exploration and solution development
  • Supporting and building a culture of innovation through engaging EMHS staff effectively

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 790,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s, children’s and neonates services.

The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.
