Business Unit: Property, Buildings & Beach Services

Title: Senior Project Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $111,468.9 to $129,545.15 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Building Assets Team sits within Council’s Property, Buildings and Beach Services Business Unit and oversees the renewal of Council’s building assets as informed by Council’s Asset Management Plan. The team works with a range of internal and external customers to deliver high-quality buildings that are energy efficient and durable, meeting the needs of the Northern Beaches residents and visitors.

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of the role are:

  1. Prepare project briefs and business cases for upcoming building works, including new builds and renewal projects.
  2. Manage selection and direction of a range of design and technical consultants; prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process in line with statutory requirements; and manage the building team delivering the works using appropriate methodologies to ensure high-quality delivery, on time and within budget.
  3. Prepare regular reports on projects’ progress.

We’re looking for a proactive professional with experience in taking community-based projects from concept stage to building hand-over.
