Job summary

Recruit Right WA Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a delivery team for premium commercial washroom systems across Australia. Based near Beresfield, you will oversee manufacturing, installation and site delivery, aligning programs, budgets and quality to achieve commercial outcomes.

You will manage contracts, coordinate between factory operations and site teams, and drive improvements in systems and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading project delivery in commercial construction or fit-out.
• Proven ability to coach and develop a delivery team.
• Strong contract administration including variations and payments.
• Familiarity with Australian Standard contracts (AS 4000/AS 4901).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Solid knowledge of WHS and quality assurance requirements.
• Proficient with project management software and dashboards.
• Hold a current White Card and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract award through practical completion and final reconciliation.
• Lead and develop a team across project management, administration, procurement, site management and after-sales support.
• Coordinate manufacturing, dispatch and installation to meet project deadlines.
• Review and negotiate subcontracts within commercial parameters.
• Manage variations, progress claims, payment schedules and retentions.
• Monitor budgets, protect margins and resolve delivery risks.

Senior Project Manager / Project Delivery Manager
Beresfield, Newcastle & Hunter NSW | Full-time

Lead a project delivery team and oversee commercial construction projects from contract award through manufacturing, installation and completion.

Our client designs and supplies premium commercial washroom systems for major construction projects across Australia, including airports, commercial towers and retail developments.

Based in Beresfield and reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role offers responsibility for a portfolio of projects, an internal delivery team and installation subcontractors.

About the role

You will connect factory operations with site delivery, ensuring manufacturing, dispatch and installation stay aligned. You will take ownership of project programs, budgets, quality and commercial outcomes while building strong relationships with head contractors and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from contract award through to practical completion and final reconciliation.


• Leading and developing a team across project management, administration, procurement, site management and after-sales support.


• Coordinating manufacturing, procurement, dispatch and installation to meet project deadlines.


• Reviewing and negotiating subcontracts within agreed commercial parameters.


• Managing variations, progress claims, payment schedules and retentions.

About you

You are an experienced project manager who combines practical construction knowledge with strong commercial judgement and team leadership skills. You can manage competing priorities, resolve site issues and keep people accountable for delivery.

You will bring:

• Proven project management experience in commercial construction or fit-out, ideally within a supply-and-install environment.


• Demonstrated experience managing, coaching and developing a team.


• Strong contract administration skills, including subcontract reviews, variations and progress claims.


• Familiarity with Australian Standard contracts, including AS 4000 and AS 4901, and security of payment requirements.


• The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.


• Sound knowledge of construction safety, WHS and quality assurance.


• Confidence using project management, spreadsheet and workflow systems.


• A current White Card and driver’s licence.

Qualifications in construction management, engineering or project management will be highly regarded.
