Cummins Inc. in Wetherill Park, NSW, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of complex Power Generation projects across New South Wales.

You’ll work with customers, engineers, EPC contractors, builders, vendors and internal teams through planning, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. The role requires five years of PM experience in power/generation environments, knowledge of diesel/gas generators and electrical infrastructure, and strong budgeting and

• Minimum five years’ Project Management experience in Power Generation or electrical infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex technical projects through planning, procurement, installation, and handover.
• Practical understanding of diesel and/or gas generator systems and balance of plant.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and equipment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Power Generation projects from planning to handover.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, costs, resources, risks and overall commercial performance.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, builders, vendors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical specifications, drawings, electrical schematics, equipment schedules, and project documentation with engineering teams.
• Lead design reviews, FAT, site installation, commissioning and project close-out.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, safety requirements, and Cummins guidelines.
• Proactively manage project risks and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Cummins Wetherill Park, Australia Exempt - Experienced Mid

Based at our Wetherell Park branch in New South Wales, you will join our expanding Power Generation team and lead the delivery of complex commercial, data centre, and critical infrastructure projects across the state.

Working closely with customers, consulting engineers, EPC contractors, builders, vendors, subcontractors, and internal Cummins teams, you will manage projects from initial planning and design coordination through procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements, relevant standards, and Cummins quality expectations.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex Power Generation projects from planning and design coordination through procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, costs, resources, risks, and overall commercial performance.
• Coordinate customers, consulting engineers, EPC contractors, builders, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with Engineering teams to coordinate technical specifications, drawings, electrical schematics, equipment schedules, and project documentation.
• Lead key delivery activities, including design reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), site installation, commissioning, and project close-out.
• Ensure projects comply with customer requirements, Australian Standards, safety requirements, and Cummins quality and engineering guidelines.
• Proactively manage project risks and build strong stakeholder relationships through clear and consistent communication.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum five years’ Project Management experience within Power Generation, electrical infrastructure, critical power, construction, mechanical, or a similar technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects through planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Practical understanding of diesel and/or gas generator systems, electrical infrastructure, and associated balance of plant.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, electrical schematics, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and other project documentation.
• Strong commercial and financial capability, including project budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue management.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and safety requirements, with tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
