Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Australia is seeking a Power Generation Engineer to lead technical delivery for diverse projects from its Pooraka branch, SA. You will work with customers, EPCs and internal teams to shape high-performance power solutions.

You will guide design reviews, FAT, installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and safety. You’ll mentor engineers and support multi-discipline teams across Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electrical-related engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in power generation, electrical infrastructure, critical power or industrial power systems.
• Experience delivering technical solutions for Data Centres, Healthcare, Mining, Utilities, Industrial facilities, or infrastructure.
• Experience creating/reviewing engineering drawings, electrical schematics, specifications and project docs.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical codes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with customers, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for diesel and gas generator systems and power generation packages.
• Engage with customers, engineers, EPC contractors and internal stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Prepare and review technical specs, diagrams, system architecture and equipment schedules.
• Provide on-site expertise during installation and commissioning for quality and safety.
• Review designs for compliance with standards, specs and Cummins guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership across project execution including FAT, site work and close-out.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Project Management, Product Engineering and Manufacturing for project delivery.
