Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sydney is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end execution of medium to large, high-complexity projects and orders in the HV electrical sector.

You will coordinate customers, engineering, supply chain, overseas factories, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and profitability targets, while building trusted stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive project management experience in the high-voltage electrical industry or similar environment.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, resources, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment (GIS, substations) and IEC/ Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle from sales-to-execution handover to close-out.
• Lead scope, schedule, cost, resources and deliverables with issue mitigation.
• Monitor financial performance, revenue, cost and cash flow with accurate forecasts.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, and field activities; liaise with stakeholders.
