Job summary

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of community and recreation building and open space projects. You will work with stakeholders, drive risk management and continuous improvement as part of an established team.

The role is permanent and full-time with a Monthly ADO, offering a collaborative and supportive environment aligned to our values and growth strategy in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience delivering major building projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Balance competing priorities to deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong reporting, governance and project documentation capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Green Star and BESS ESD assessment tools will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major and minor projects through design, planning, construction and closure.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with sponsors, external stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
• Manage project risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including plans, programs and forecasting/reporting.
• Monitor performance, budgets and deliverables to stay on schedule and within scope and budget.
