Job summary

Experteq, an Australian-owned IT Managed Services provider, seeks a Senior Project Manager for an initial 12-month contract in Sydney. You will own multiple technology projects end-to-end, coordinating customers, technical teams and third parties to deliver strong commercial and operational outcomes.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks and provide accurate project controls while navigating a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of project management experience.
• Experience in managed IT services or a regulated technology environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across the delivery lifecycle.
• Disciplined project controls and commercial awareness.
• Confidence engaging with customers, executives and technical specialists.
• Ability to identify delivery risks early and drive practical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent technology projects from initiation to closure.
• Manage relationships with customers, sponsors, internal stakeholders and third parties.
• Maintain accurate project controls to support decision-making at multiple levels.
• Define scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, dependencies and changes.
• Handle resource planning, forecasting, invoicing and commercial performance.
• Ensure accountability and momentum across cross-functional teams.
• Oversee service transition and readiness, cutover and handover to BAU operations.

Own complex technology projects and influence how they are delivered

Looking for a substantial contract where you can take genuine ownership of complex technology delivery?

Experteq is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for an initial 12-month contract to lead multiple concurrent projects across our business and customer environments.

You'll take end-to-end ownership of delivery, bringing together customers, technical teams and third parties to achieve strong commercial, operational and customer outcomes.

What You'll Own

• Multiple concurrent technology projects from initiation through to transition and closure

• Service transition, operational readiness, cutover and handover into business-as-usual operations

What You'll Bring

• At least five years' project management experience
• Experience in managed IT services or another complex, highly regulated technology environment
• A strong record of managing multiple projects across the complete delivery lifecycle
• Disciplined project controls and sound commercial awareness
• Confidence engaging customers, executives and technical specialists
• The ability to identify delivery risks early, present clear options and drive practical decisions
• Experience managing competing priorities and recovering delivery challenges
• The ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without relying on direct authority

Experience across banking technology, managed services transitions, customer onboarding, infrastructure or platform refreshes, security and compliance initiatives, Microsoft Cloud or Microsoft 365 migrations will be highly regarded.

You don't need to be a technical specialist, but you will need the technical aptitude to identify delivery risks, ask effective questions and lead resolution across architecture and engineering teams.
