Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to join a well-established team delivering a high-profile portfolio on-site at Portland, Victoria. This role suits a delivery-focused leader with extensive end-to-end project experience and a proven track record of executing complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.

In this role, you will provide strong leadership, governance, and hands‑on project management to drive delivery outcomes and ensure completion in line with contractual obligations.

The Role
  • Lead and manage a high‑profile project from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, objectives & deliverables
  • Utilise your industry expertise to provide strategic guidance and technical insights throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations & vendor management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution
You Will Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent), with additional Project Management qualification highly regarded.
  • Able to work on-site at Portland, VIC (based locally or willing to relocate).
  • Extensive end‑to‑end project management experience delivering complex CAPEX works in heavy industry and brownfields environments.
  • Proven track record managing a portfolio of projects - meeting cost, schedule, quality, and safety targets in a live operational environment.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability, with the credibility to influence senior leaders, contractors, and cross‑functional teams and drive clear decisions.
  • Working knowledge of project controls and governance (planning/scheduling, cost control, risk management, reporting), and experience managing procurement, contracts, and vendors.
