Job summary

Title Consulting in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of a 260-home land-lease community in Southeast Queensland. You will oversee programme, procurement, contract administration, and on-site delivery, while shaping the delivery framework for the broader Queensland portfolio.

This role requires hands-on leadership, contract literacy, and the ability to drive standardisation of processes and external PM performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the project: programme, procurement, contract administration and on-site delivery.

• Travel to regional sites with an overnight stay about every fortnight.

This business is building internal PM capability in Queensland for the first time, and this is the role that sets the standard.

Your first project is overseeing the construction of a 260-home land lease community within a master-planned estate in Southeast Queensland. The community comprises a commercially built clubhouse, housing and civil elements.

It's a high-profile launch with a lot of eyes on it, which means you'll have the resources, the backing and the mandate to execute it well.

Beyond that first project, you'll help shape how this business manages construction delivery across a Queensland portfolio of close to ten projects - setting the playbook, standardising the systems and building the IP that the business has been growing too fast to formalise.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the state develop lead, you'll lead end-to-end delivery of this key project: programme; procurement; contract administration and on-site delivery, while contributing to the scoping and performance of external project managers across the broader Queensland portfolio.

You'll also drive the standardisation of construction processes, consultant agreements and delivery frameworks nationally in collaboration with your peers.

Travel to regional sites is required, expect an overnight once a fortnight.

About you

You're self-directing by nature. You see what needs doing and you do it, without waiting to be told. You've come up through a builder or a hands-on developer. You understand contracts, you know how to hold a builder accountable, and you're not precious about getting into the detail when the job needs it.

Experience in land lease, retirement living or volume residential is highly valued. Strong built-form experience is essential.
