Job summary

LAB3 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join on a 12-month contract, based in Canberra or Melbourne. The role involves leading technical project teams, vendors and clients, managing scope, risk, and finances, and delivering strategic Azure, data, and security initiatives.

Australian citizenship with NV1 clearance is preferred, with hybrid onsite/client work as required. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering large-scale Azure infrastructure or security projects, a strong grasp

Qualifications

• Senior Project Manager with proven delivery of technology projects in enterprise environments.
• NV1 security clearance (Australian citizen) preferred, Canberra or Melbourne base.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead and influence technical project teams, vendors, partners and clients to deliver outcomes while managing risk, issues and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve client and project outcomes, identify opportunities, and deliver strategic results.
• Prepare, maintain and track project schedules, scope, resource forecasts, and finances to drive roadmaps within commercial constraints.
• Apply hybrid, waterfall, Scrum, Agile, Kanban, and DevOps frameworks across projects.
• Lead client workshops to define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of team frameworks, governance, reporting, and processes.

LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract (fixed term or day rate). Our ideal candidate will be based in Canberra or Melbourne & must be an Australian Citizen with active NV1 security clearance.

The Role

• Day to day,you'llmanage,leadand influence technical project teams, vendors,partners and clients to deliver effective project outcomes whilst managing risk, issues, and quality of the deliverables.
• Work with (and influence) stakeholders to achieve satisfactory client and project outcomes all whilstidentifying opportunities, working collaboratively, and managing your projects to deliver client strategic outcomes.
• Act with minimum supervision to prepare,maintain, and track progress of project schedules, scope, resource forecasts, and project finances whilst driving delivery of defined roadmaps within commercials.
• Be skilledatadoptingappropriatehybrid and waterfall methodologies as per individual environments, embedding application of Scrum, Agile, Kanban & DevOps frameworks across projects.
• Initiate,facilitate and lead client workshops that support the definition of non-functional and functional requirements.
• Drive continuous enhancement of our team frameworks, practice structure, governance, reporting, processes, and procedures.

The ideal candidate

• Senior Project Manager with a successfultrack recordof delivering technology projects within complex enterprise environments withhigh levelsof process,complexity and governance.
• AU citizen with NV1 Clearance, ideally based in Canberra or Melbourne.
• Experience delivering large scale Azure infrastructure, data or security projects leveraging IaC (Terraform) and DevOps technologies is highly beneficial.
• Ability to translate complex & technical requirements into business outcomes.
• Vendor background: You understand the complexities of delivering to a client and can be flexible with changing priorities.
• High competency in using Jira, burn down reports and budget reporting.
• You will be expected to be onsite with the client,whenrequired, so please come in ready for a hybrid work environment.
