Job summary

SRG Global is seeking a skilled Project Estimator to support capital projects by delivering accurate tenders across electrical, mechanical and structural scopes. You will estimate, develop bids, and liaise with engineers, suppliers and clients to ensure robust submissions.

Reporting to the Manager – Northwest Projects, this full-time role offers a dynamic environment, opportunities to influence outcomes, and growth in the order book.

Qualifications

• Proven SMP estimating experience and understanding of construction principles.
• Experience estimating structural, mechanical and piping scopes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, procurement and delivery teams.
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation to determine project scope.
• Develop first-principles estimates for SMP scopes including labour, materials, equipment and indirect costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess work fronts and confirm constructability.
• Lead bid presentations with full scope breakdowns and commercial rationale.
• Prepare and maintain estimating spreadsheets and submission documents.
• Support project handover by briefing delivery teams on scope, methodology, and budget assumptions.
• Identify innovation, efficiencies and value-add opportunities in the tender process.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market rates and best practices to enhance estimate accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with SRG Global’s tendering procedures and quality standards.
