Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Construction lead to head tower works across regional fronts, coordinating foundations, steel and erection and mentoring site engineers. You will report to the Construction Manager - Towers and ensure works stay on program and budget, while resolving RFIs and interfacing with foundations, logistics, safety and commercial teams.

Camp-based regional role with opportunities for leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in civil/structural/construction engineering or related field.
• Proven experience delivering transmission towers or major structural works.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, steel fabrication and on-site erection processes.
• Experience managing site delivery across multiple fronts and interfaces.
• Solid understanding of construction safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.

• Manage interfaces between foundations, logistics, access, fabrication and erection teams.

Project Information

Help deliver a new 500 kV double-circuit transmission line project that will connect more than 3,000 MW of new renewable generation to the grid and power up to one million homes. The scope spans earthworks and access tracks, tower foundations, steel supply and erection, logistics and regional camp accommodation.

About the Opportunity

Report to the Construction Manager - Towers and lead day-to-day delivery of tower works, from foundations readiness through steel delivery, erection and completion. Work with construction managers and the foundations, logistics, safety, environment and commercial teams to keep works on program, cost and risk targets. Resolve technical and site issues, answer RFIs and drive productivity across multiple, geographically dispersed work fronts. You will also mentor project engineers, site engineers and supervisors, and shape how towers are built.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

Required Skills and Competencies

• Civil, structural or construction engineering qualification
• Experience delivering transmission tower or structural works

• Managed site delivery across multiple work fronts and interfaces
• Strong understanding of construction safety, risk and compliance

Location and conditions

This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
