Job summary

Ausenco is a fast-growing engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Studies team in Australia. You will support major minerals and metals projects across the project development lifecycle, focusing on front-end development and building a long-term pathway into Study Management.

Working with Study Managers, you will deliver Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and assisting with capital cost estimates and study

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of study deliverables and capital cost estimation.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing Studies team, supporting major minerals and metals projects across the project development lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys the front-end development of projects and is looking to build a long-term pathway into Study Management.

Working closely with Study Managers, you will play a key role in delivering Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies across a diverse portfolio of mining and mineral processing projects. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, support capital cost estimate development, prepare technical study deliverables, and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering study work packages to meet quality, schedule, cost and risk objectives.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple concurrent studies.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, scopes of work and study documentation.
• Supporting capital cost estimate development and study planning activities.
• Assisting with proposal development, client engagement and identifying follow-on opportunities.

About You

You are a collaborative and technically capable Project Engineer with a passion for study delivery and project development. To be successful, you will bring:

• Experience within an EPCM, engineering consultancy or project delivery environment.
• Exposure to Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies.
• Strong understanding of study deliverables, technical reporting and capital cost estimation.
• An engineering degree, ideally in Process or Chemical Engineering; however, candidates from Mechanical, Mining, Civil or other relevant disciplines with studies experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders and engineering teams.
• A desire to further develop your career towards Study Management.
