Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to own engineering delivery for a major rail civil project in Queensland. You will coordinate design, procurement and construction, lead a team of engineers and graduates, and manage work packages up to $50 million, partnering with clients and subcontractors to meet milestones.

You will report to the Area Manager, Rail Civils, and drive safety, cost forecasting and risk management across a complex Alliance environment, delivering on time and to budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Relevant Rail Industry Worker competencies.
• Proven experience delivering complex civil or rail infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial acumen, including cost estimation and forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.

Project Information

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project will double rail tracks and upgrade stations along a 20-kilometre corridor between Kuraby, south of Brisbane, and Beenleigh in Logan City. Delivered by the ActivUs Alliance, the project will transform rail capacity across South East Queensland and support the region's long-term growth, including level crossing removals and station upgrades.

About the Opportunity

As Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Area Manager, Rail Civils, and take ownership of engineering delivery for a defined area of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. You will coordinate design, procurement and construction, manage work packages worth up to $50 million, and lead a team including a Project Engineer, Site Engineer and Graduate Engineer. You will work closely with the delivery, engineering and commercial teams, and liaise directly with clients and subcontractors. This role offers genuine ownership and exposure to a complex, multi-partner Alliance environment.
