ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with extensive piling experience to lead and coordinate Engineering Works on a designated NSW project. You will support the Construction Manager to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership of large on-ground teams, proactive risk management, and close coordination with supervisors to maintain quality and environmental/safety systems across the project.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
• 5 years' experience in a project/delivery-based role.
• Extensive piling experience.
• Experience leading high performing teams.
• Demonstrated strong forecasting and budgeting experience.
• Competent in planning and organising work schedules.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the project is delivered to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction.
• Identify and assess risk to the project as well as the implementation of strategies to mitigate risk.
• Use your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning.
• Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground.
• Build effective and collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors.
• Maintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project.
• Provide positive leadership to subcontractors monitoring and controlling their performance to ensure workmanship quality on and off site.
• Manages construction budgets to allow accurately profit / loss forecasting.

The Opportunity:

The role suits a someone with extensive piling experience and strong leadership, this role will see you ensuring the effective coordination and control of Engineering Works for a designated Project through activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control based on ACCIONA standards. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible in assisting the Construction Manager to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule, within budget and to the specified quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the project is delivered to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
• Identify and assess risk to the project as well as the implementation of strategies to mitigate risk

• Provides positive leadership to subcontractors monitor and control their performance to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures
• Manages construction budgets to allow accurately profit / loss forecasting and monitors the financial performance for certain aspects of the project

Qualification and Experience
