DT Infrastructure in Perth is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – OT Specialist to lead end-to-end Operational Technology lifecycle on a major rail project delivering the High-Capacity Signalling System.

You will drive design reviews, procurement, on-site installation, testing and commissioning across IMS SCADA, Traction Power SCADA and related interfaces, with a focus on safety standards and on-site rail execution.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience with extensive OT expertise including at least 3 years on-site rail experience.
• Hands-on experience programming/ configuring Schneider PLCs and Citect/Plant SCADA.
• Proven experience delivering FAT, SAT, SIT and end-to-end SCADA commissioning on major infrastructure or rail projects.
• Working knowledge of rail safety and control standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card preferred.

About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – OT Specialist to join DT Infrastructure and Alstom in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High-Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will drive the end-to-end Operational Technology lifecycle, including design review, procurement, site installation, testing, and commissioning across IMS (SCADA), Traction Power SCADA, and signalling interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive OT work packages across the full lifecycle, from design deliverables and procurement through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee and deliver PLC/SCADA programming and system configuration, managing Schneider platforms including Citect SCADA 2018 R2, Plant SCADA, and EcoStruxure Control Expert.
• Lead and coordinate critical testing and commissioning phases, including CVC, FAT, SAT, SIT, and IMS SCADA End-to-End (E2E) testing.
• Inspect, review, and audit site works against design packages, safety documentation (SWMS, JSEAs, permits to dig), and rail standards.
• Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces between OT, signalling, traction power, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.

Experience and capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, IT, Telecommunications, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ engineering experience with extensive expertise in Operational Technology (including at least 3 years on-site rail experience).
• Hands-on expertise programming and configuring Schneider PLCs and Citect/Plant SCADA platforms.
• Proven experience delivering FAT, SAT, SIT, and end-to-end SCADA commissioning on major infrastructure or rail projects.
• Working knowledge of rail safety and control standards, including EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129.
