Providing professional expertise to ensure the development and delivery of complex or difficult major transport/road infrastructure projects to time, scope, cost and quality requirements.
Providing active professional direction to supervise management of works contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issues.
Ensuring that the management of safety is paramount and implement sector best practice and procedures.
Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders, including project team members, Traffic Management, Services, Surveillance, contractors and consultants to ensure work is prioritised, delivered on time and to appropriate costs, quality standards, government and community requirements.
Managing day to day project requirements, work organisation, the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the project team through Preconstruction, Delivery and Handover phases.
Carry out Functional Completion and Practical Completion processes including systems assurance, operational readiness, commissioning activities and post-completion as-built documentation and close out reporting.
The Senior Project Engineer supports the planning and delivery of the Western Freeway realignment at Pykes Creek (Ballarat bound) through developing and delivering project activities, supporting the strategic direction and building effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships.
The works will include earthworks, pavement and drainage upgrades, signage and line marking, and safety barrier installation.
It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
