Job summary

Fetch Recruitment is seeking Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers for a Brisbane-based structural civil contractor. This self-performing business delivers dams, bridges and related structures with close client and site leadership involvement.

You will manage formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages, coordinate self-perform crews and oversee QA, safety and project delivery. Brisbane Northside role with clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Hands-on, self-performing experience, ideally in FRP, concrete or structures.
• Background with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor (not Tier 1 or purely consulting).
• Strong commercial awareness: costs, variations, subcontract management.
• Solid understanding of QA, safety and site compliance.
• Confident communicator who’s comfortable on site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages on structures projects.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, procurement and site crews alongside self-perform teams.
• Run programme, cost tracking, variations, EOTs and RFIs.
• Drive QA/ITPs, safety systems and compliance on site.
• Work closely with Project Manager and site leadership to deliver safely, on time and on budget.
• Senior PE: mentor junior engineers and own larger work packages.

• Solid understanding of QA, safety and site compliance
• Confident communicator who’s comfortable on site

Highly regarded

• Dams, bridgeworks or major structures experience
• Windfarm or renewable energy civil experience (a bonus, not a requirement)
