Global Energy Australia – Shailer Park QLD and Brisbane office – invites applications for a Senior Project Engineer to support GEMCO projects on Groote Eylandt under a 12-month casual contract. Based at Shailer Park with some site visits, you will lead cross-discipline engineering coordination and liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day engineering coordination across disciplines and support the Project Manager in delivering scope on time and within budget.
• Act as a key interface with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Review engineering deliverables and manage design changes, RFIs and technical queries
• Develop workpacks and ITPs, and manage inspections, hold points and client sign-offs
• Procure materials and equipment, including vendor evaluations and expediting long-lead items
• Manage and coordinate work crews and subcontractors across multiple work fronts and hold them accountable to scope, schedule, and quality
• Support planning, cost tracking and variation management
• Mentor engineers and promote a strong safety culture.

Global Energy Australia – Shailer Park QLD

Global Energy Australia (GEA) part of Global Group delivers end-to-end Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services across the natural gas, petroleum, renewable energy and mining sectors.

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a 12-month casual contract. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll support GEMCO projects on Groote Eylandt.

You will be based at our Shailer Park office in Brisbane, with occasional site visits required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead day-to-day engineering coordination across disciplines and support the Project Manager in delivering scope on time and within budget
• Act as a key interface with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Review engineering deliverables and manage design changes, RFIs and technical queries
• Develop workpacks and ITPs, and manage inspections, hold points and client sign-offs

What You'll Need to Thrive in This Role

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• More than 10 years as a Project Engineer in construction, fabrication or project delivery
• Ability to self-manage, prioritise and meet deadlines while working effectively in a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently build relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
• Skills in Primavera scheduling software (highly regarded).
