Chandler Macleod is seeking a capable Civil Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join a local government infrastructure team in Queensland. You will assist in coordinating capital works projects, supporting governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across civil and transport initiatives.

This full-time, on-site role in Cleveland, QLD commences November 2026 and runs through to May 2027, with responsibilities spanning planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement support and contractor

About the Opportunity

An opportunity exists to join a local government organisation supporting the delivery of civil and transport infrastructure projects that directly benefit the community.

Working within a collaborative infrastructure team, you will assist in coordinating capital works projects and programs, supporting project delivery, governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement and contractor coordination across a range of civil and traffic infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of civil and transport infrastructure projects
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling and reporting activities
• Prepare project documentation, briefing notes and governance reports
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and external agencies
• Monitor project milestones, risks, actions and deliverables
• Assist with procurement and contract administration activities
• Support capital works program delivery from planning through to completion

About You

To be successful, you will demonstrate experience in some or all of the following:

• Civil infrastructure, transport infrastructure or capital works project environments
• Project coordination, project administration or project delivery support
• Budget monitoring and project reporting
• Contractor and stakeholder coordination
• Preparation of reports, briefings and project documentation
• Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Local government experience
• Roads, traffic, drainage or transport infrastructure exposure
• Asset management or capital works experience
• Qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
