Job summary

Gray Puksand in Canberra seeks an Associate level or Senior Project Architect to lead significant projects across Commercial, Education, and Health Science sectors. You will guide projects from concept to completion, manage teams, and coordinate consultants, while mentoring junior staff and shaping design outcomes.

You will work hands-on in Revit when required, ensuring robust documentation, timelines, and client relationships, within a supportive, national team environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ architectural experience on medium to large-scale projects across Commercial, Education, and/or Health and Science sectors.
• Registered in the ACT.
• Demonstrated experience leading and delivering projects from briefing through to project handover.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, clients, and consultants within complex project environments.
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership capability.
• Strong technical and construction knowledge.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a national team environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and management of projects across all stages, from concept design through to contract administration.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to project teams.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of projects, updating Partners when required.
• Oversee project documentation and review drawings in Revit, including mentoring and guiding team members.
• Play an active role in mentoring, coaching, and developing junior team members, providing guidance across design, documentation, project delivery, and professional development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development opportunities and support the continued growth of the practice.
