Job summary

OSOS Alliance Pty Ltd is recruiting a Senior Project Accountant for a 3‑month contract in St Leonards, NSW. The role covers end‑to‑end project accounting, revenue and cost management, plus strict controls and reporting across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has strong project accounting experience, proficient in GL, reconciliations and financial reporting, and will engage with project managers and finance teams. Immediate start and potential extension offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant/Project Accountant role.
• Strong project accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience managing GL, reconciliations and reporting.
• Understanding of accounting standards, controls and compliance.
• Ability to analyze project margins and costs.
• Effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project accounting activities: revenue, costs, accruals, journals, reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes with accurate reporting.
• Monitor project revenue, costs, margins; investigate variances and risks.
• Manage billing, WIP, receivables and working capital.
• Prepare and review financial reports to support decisions.
• Ensure compliance with policy, standards and audit requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and control gaps.
• Collaborate with project managers and finance teams.
• Provide accounting guidance to colleagues.
