Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Roma QLD invites a skilled lead to drive the Project Controls team, delivering high-quality program support services, financial, administrative and governance practices.

You will coordinate project activities, guide managers to successful outcomes through planning, reporting and compliance, and lead the district's program and TIDS initiatives to ensure effective delivery and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls team to deliver high-quality program support services.
• Provide expert financial, administrative and project support, coordinate project activities and assist program and project managers to achieve successful project outcomes through effective planning, reporting, and governance practices.
• Ensure successful business outcomes through effective resource utilisation, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.
• Provide accurate and professional advice and support to clients in relation to road infrastructure and maintenance contracts.
• Undertake a range of program and project activities to enhance program development and project delivery.
• Conduct analysis of financial activities to align with multiple financial systems and processes to provide consistent application within the district office.
• Provide support to the District's Program Performance Advisor in the delivery of the district's program of works, including management of the TIDS (Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme) program and project creation and variations within TMR systems.
• Lead and coach program support staff, ensure appropriate skill sets and training needs are identified and developed.
• Lead the project controls team in ensuring governance and compliance within financial, procurement, scheduling & DRFA processes relating to project and program support and provide input to district procedures.
• Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Department Policy.
