Job summary

NW People is partnering with a Global leader in the Packaging Manufacturing sector to appoint a strategic people leader for a busy Sydney South West operation. You will oversee production operations, drive safety, quality, cost targets, and continuous improvement across shifts.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will implement improvement frameworks, optimise labour, and lead a high-performing team while upholding OHS&E standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in a senior manufacturing management role (production management desirable).
• Proven leadership, influencing, negotiation, and change management skills.
• Experience delivering continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of OHS&E standards and legal responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement continuous improvement frameworks to meet performance objectives and grow capacity.
• Plan and coordinate equipment with short and long-term schedules to optimise labour and throughput.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to the operations team to achieve business objectives.
• Foster a positive workplace culture emphasising employee involvement, accountability, and mutual respect.
• Take full responsibility for site operations in the Site Manager's absence.
• Lead production across all shifts with consistent safety and engagement standards.
• Monitor compliance with all legal, statutory, and OHS&E policies and practices.
