Job summary

REA Group, a leading Australian property technology company, seeks a Principal Product Manager (Data Platform) to drive the vision and roadmap for REA’s data capabilities. You will oversee a data platform built on Google Cloud with BigQuery, Airflow, Kafka, and Tableau, guiding the team to deliver scalable data products across the enterprise.

You will shape platform capabilities, advance the data mesh, and collaborate with engineering, data and product teams to deliver measurable business

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior product management or equivalent leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of how platforms create scalability and improved experiences for a digital business.
• Demonstrated experience leading a data/technology or developer platform evolution.
• Strong understanding of data products, data platforms, data mesh, self-service governance and cloud technologies.
• Experience working with engineering, architecture, design, data and business stakeholders in an agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a compelling vision and roadmap for REA’s Data Platform.
• Translate priorities into product outcomes and investment choices.
• Lead the direction for REA’s data platform built on Google Cloud Platform.
• Shape capabilities to improve scalability, reliability, security and usability.
• Evolve the data mesh vision and self-service capabilities across REA.
• Identify, prioritise and sequence valuable platform opportunities with cross-functional teams.
