Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of user experience, interaction design and visual design principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong digital product work with measurable outcomes.
• Experience developing user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
• Previous mobile app design experience is advantageous.
• Strong Figma capability and proficiency with other design tools.

New Senior Product Designer opportunity with a technology-led business developing digital products used across a large delivery network in Australia.

6AM Digital is their recruitment partner and helping them with this appointment.

This is a hands-on environment where Product, Technology and Design work closely together to solve practical customer problems and improve the way people interact with digital products.

The business is continuing to invest in its technology and customer experience, and this is an opportunity for a Product Designer to have meaningful input across both the product and the design process.

We are now looking for a Product Designer to take responsibility for design across web and mobile, from early research and problem definition through to delivery and ongoing improvements.

This opportunity would suit a senior Product Designer or UX/UI Designer with strong digital product experience, who enjoys working closely with developers and stakeholders, making decisions and seeing their work implemented.

The role:

• You will be responsible for shaping the user experience from the early stages of a project, helping understand user needs, clarify problems and explore potential solutions before moving into design and delivery.
• You will use a mix of user interviews, product data and testing to understand how people interact with the products and identify where changes could make a meaningful difference.
• You will create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and polished interfaces across mobile and web, with a strong focus on usability, clarity and visual quality.
• Working closely with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders, you will challenge ideas where needed, work through practical constraints and help turn requirements into well-considered digital experiences.
• You will also contribute to the development of a consistent design system, including reusable components and patterns that make products easier to use and easier for teams to build and maintain.
• There will be opportunities to contribute outside the core product environment too, supporting digital, marketing and sales activity where your broader design skills can be useful.
• This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding the problem, finding a practical solution and staying involved until the work is delivered.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI or a closely related discipline
• Strong understanding of user experience, interaction design and visual design principles
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong digital product work, with examples of how your work improved the user experience and ideally delivered a measurable business outcome
• Experience developing user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
• Previous mobile app design experience would be very advantageous
• Strong Figma capability and confidence using other relevant design tools
• The ability to balance user needs, business priorities and technical considerations when making design decisions
• Strong attention to detail, combined with creative and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience working directly with developers and stakeholders throughout the design and delivery process
• Comfort working independently, managing competing priorities and adapting as requirements change
• Curiosity about AI-assisted design and research tools, with the judgement to use them appropriately and maintain a high standard of work
• Experience across graphic or digital design would be advantageous
