Job summary

Lookahead is building software for an old-school industry, empowering teams to replace spreadsheets with delightful tools. You will own cross-functional product initiatives from discovery to delivery, talking to customers to understand workflows and shaping elegant solutions with engineers and leaders.

With roughly 2+ years in SaaS or product design, you will drive impact, ship real products, and grow into a senior role. Flexible hours and a collaborative team culture are emphasized.

What we're looking for

A product-minded designer who can solve hard problems with elegant, simple solutions. You'll have real autonomy and influence, talking to customers regularly to understand their workflows, working closely with the wider business to shape your solutions, and seeing your ideas through to shipped outcomes.

• Critical thinking: you interrogate every brief, dig into root causes, and use foundational UX principles to get users from A to B effectively
• A builder's mindset: you bring ideas to life, whether pairing closely with engineering or building high-fidelity prototypes yourself
• Customer obsession: you're hungry for insight, love running customer conversations, and can translate raw feedback into design strategy
• Initiative: a strong bias for action. You don't wait for a backlog, you identify high-impact work and push it forward
• Strong communication: you can clearly articulate the "why" behind your decisions and bring engineers, sales, customer success and leaders along with you
• Around 2+ years' experience in SaaS or product design, with a track record of shipping real products and a genuine hunger to grow into a senior role

The role

You'll work in a cross-functional product team, owning projects from discovery through to delivery, supported by broader design and product leadership. Some of what you might work on:

• Figuring out how and when to send meaningful, timely notifications to users without overwhelming them
• Identifying risk factors and surfacing actionable insights from the data your product captures
• Polishing workflows: keeping UI/UX debt in check, simplifying flows, driving consistency
