Lycopodium Minerals in Perth is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead purchasing, expediting and transport logistics across major mining and metals projects. Join a global team delivering high quality engineering and project delivery services.

You will manage tender evaluations, supplier negotiations and compliance with international contracts, with a preference for candidates with Africa project experience and a proven ability to drive schedules and stakeholder outcomes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years' procurement experience with significant mining project exposure.
• Experience on international projects – Africa preferred.
• Sound knowledge of international and local tendering and contract laws.
• High-level negotiating and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and support project teams effectively.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with a results-driven approach.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress for timely enquiries, tenders and PO awards.
• Work with internal/external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries.
• Commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to select suppliers.
• Develop and maintain vendor data and goods tracking systems.
• Implement and monitor procurement schedule aligned with delivery timelines.
• Liaise with Project team to support deliverables.

Due to the recent award of several projects, Lycopodium Minerals is currently recruiting for experienced Senior Procurement Officers to join our growing team in Perth! With offices in Africa, Australia, Canada, Peru and the Philippines, Lycopodium proudly delivers high quality professional engineering and project delivery services globally, across the mining and metals; infrastructure and process industries. Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for purchasing, expediting, transport logistics, freight schedules, maintaining procedures and information reporting for various projects.

The tasks you'll perform

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation and award of purchase orders.
• Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries for equipment to meet project technical, schedule and commercial requirements.
• Commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice to be made.
• Develop and maintain an effective vendor data (including manuals) and goods tracking system both on a company-wide and on a project-specific basis.
• Implement and monitor the procurement schedule in accordance with the overall delivery schedule.
• Liaise with and provide professional support to the Project team in the preparation of project deliverables.

The expertise you'll bring

• A minimum of 7 years' procurement experience with significant experience in mining projects.
• Previous experience working on international projects – Africa preferred.
• Sound knowledge of international and local tendering and contract laws regulations and practices.
• High-level negotiating skills and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to own and prioritise.
• Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
• Capability to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines with a results driven approach.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet targets and deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
