Job summary

Metso Minerals is seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement to lead the Australia-based procurement team in West Perth. You will translate global strategies into local sourcing plans, ensure reliable and compliant supply for capital equipment, and partner with Business Lines and Operations.

The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier development, governance and cross-functional leadership, with travel ~15% and a focus on safety, ethics and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• Significant procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience.
• Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience in mining or industrial project environments.
• Strong commercial acumen and risk management capability.
• Proficiency with SAP or ERP and Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Translate global procurement strategies into local sourcing plans for Australia.
• Lead procurement across equipment projects and internal supply with category ownership.
• Secure supplier capacity, quality, delivery, cost competitiveness and continuity.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
• Develop supplier base and manage performance, risk and phase-outs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes and legal requirements.
• Govern governance for POs, supplier commitments and changes.
• Collaborate with Heads of Procurement and global teams to capture synergies.
• Monitor KPIs such as savings, on-time delivery and supplier risk.
• Coach and develop procurement professionals; promote safety and ethics.
