Job summary

Sedgman Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to drive end-to-end procurement on major mining projects. You will lead sourcing, tendering, negotiations and supplier relationships, while mentoring a small team.

You will partner with engineering, construction and planning teams to ensure on-time delivery and optimal value, developing capability across the procurement function. This hybrid Brisbane role supports growth and collaboration across Australia.

Qualifications

• Procurement planning, sourcing, tendering and supplier management experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate with suppliers/contractors.
• Leadership or mentoring experience in a procurement team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project schedules.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM, mining, construction or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for major projects.
• Procure major equipment, bulk materials, construction services and subcontract works.
• Lead procurement from planning through contract execution and delivery.
• Manage tendering, supplier evaluations and contract administration.
• Build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, planning and commercial teams.
• Mentor and develop a team of Procurement Advisors.
