Job summary

NSW Public Works (NSWPW) seeks a Senior Procurement Advisor to lead procurement, contract management and assurance services for complex infrastructure. You will train staff and government clients, act as senior executive on construction contracts, and support project managers with strategic procurement expertise.

The role requires knowledge of government policies, extensive experience in engineering/construction PM and the ability to travel across the Region.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as project, procurement and contract management lead on complex infrastructure and construction projects.
• Knowledge of relevant Government policies, process and frameworks.
• Detailed knowledge of best practice construction project management and quality processes, and experience using common industry ICT platforms.
• Appropriate qualifications and extensive working experience leading project management, procurement and contract management activities on engineering and/or construction jobs.
• Experience in construction contract dispute resolution.
• Current NSW Driver Licence and capacity to regularly travel to offices across the Region.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic procurement expertise and guidance to Project Managers and government clients.
• Train staff in contract management and procurement best practices.
• Act as Senior Executive on the Region’s construction contracts and lead on key NSW Public Works projects.
• Support project managers as assurance lead on programs and construction procurement initiatives.
