Job summary

The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a senior specialist to lead process reform across Legal Services, Land Management and Anthropology. You will improve workflows, coordinate inputs, and drive timely matter progression without direct staff management.

The role focuses on turning complex processes into clear steps, with strong cross-cultural communication. With a base salary of $140,000 plus 15% super, the package supports relocation and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading process reform, workflow improvement, project delivery or systems coordination in a complex service environment.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary contributors, manage competing priorities and influence outcomes across organisational boundaries without formal line authority.
• Strong systems capability, including matter management, workflow, records, reporting or process-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead workflow reforms and maintain clear process controls.
• Coordinate inputs, responsibilities and delivery timeframes.
• Strengthen matter tracking, records and data quality.
• Report on progress, bottlenecks and emerging risks.
• Support matter closure and agreement administration handovers.
