Job summary

Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law Data Privacy and Cybersecurity team in Australia seeks an experienced Privacy lawyer to create and maintain insightful content for online publication. The Senior Specialist Legal Editor brings substantial PQE in privacy law to support AI-powered legal solutions and collaborate with a cross-functional team.

You will work in a flexible hybrid environment, contributing to customer-focused resources and keeping content aligned with market practice and business

Qualifications

You are a solicitor qualified in Australia.
Minimum 5 years PQE in privacy law in top or mid-tier private practice, in-house team, or government team.
Good working knowledge of Australia's cybersecurity framework (SCLA 2018 and Cyber Security Act 2024).
Excellent writing and communication skills, with ability to draft practical resources in plain English.

Responsibilities

Research, write, and maintain clear, current, practical legal content aligned with market practice and business objectives.
Review and edit content written by others, including colleagues and external contributors.
Stay up to date with legal developments to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Support the development of Thomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions.
Collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, and technology teams as needed.
