Job summary

Thomson Reuters' Practical Law Data Privacy and Cybersecurity team in Australia seeks a Senior Specialist Legal Editor. You will create and maintain practical, customer-focused content for online publication, applying deep privacy law expertise to guide lawyers and in-house teams.

You will support AI-driven solutions and collaborate with product, sales, marketing, and technology teams to reflect current market practice.

Qualifications

• Australian solicitor with 5+ years PQE in privacy law.
• Strong knowledge of privacy and cybersecurity law and practice.
• Ability to draft practical resources for lawyers and clients.
• Excellent writing, clarity, and plain-English expression.
• Collaborative, able to work across teams and with external contributors.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and maintain practical legal content for Practical Law.
• Review and edit content written by others and external contributors.
• Keep content up-to-date with law, market practice and objectives.
• Support AI-powered Thomson Reuters solutions and internal AI tools.
• Develop relationships with lawyers and industry groups.
