Wide Bay Hospital & Health Service in Maryborough, QLD is seeking a Senior Psychologist to provide high-level psychological support to prisoners at Maryborough Correctional Centre. The role uses clinical expertise, leadership, and independent judgement to manage a complex caseload beyond routine practice.

You will contribute to service development and professional development, with a remuneration package up to $157,360 AUD p.a., including salary range $128,169–$137,918 p.a., plus superannuation

Qualifications

• Provide high-level psychological support to prisoners at Maryborough Correctional Centre.
• Demonstrate leadership, clinical expertise and supervision.
• Manage a complex caseload with professional accountability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to prisoners with chronic pain or substance misuse issues.
• Lead and consult with multidisciplinary teams; provide professional supervision.
• Contribute to service development, education and research within the unit.
