Dell Technologies seeks a Senior Principal Engineer in Chatswood to lead AI/HPC infrastructure design and deployment for enterprise customers. You will assess data centre readiness and deliver advanced GPU and liquid/cooled clusters, including rack layouts and validation using CVT.
This hands-on role covers the full solution lifecycle from design to customer handover, requiring strong Linux, networking and customer-facing skills. Expect up to 50% travel across ANZ and beyond.
Competenze
- Experience delivering AI, HPC, GPU or complex infrastructure solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, servers, storage and high-speed networking.
- Experience with multi-node and multi-rack environments.
- Understanding of data centre power, cooling, racks and cabling.
- Strong customer-facing, consulting and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across ANZ and internationally.

- Assess customer infrastructure and data centre readiness.
- Design compute, storage, networking, power, cooling and cabling solutions.
- Produce rack layouts, connectivity designs and implementation documentation.
- Deploy and validate AI/HPC clusters and integrated rack solutions.
- Deliver air-cooled and liquid-cooled environments, including CDUs and rear-door heat exchangers.
- Validate physical fabric connectivity using NVIDIA Cable Validation Tool (CVT).
- Work with InfiniBand, Spectrum-X and high-speed Ethernet technologies.
- Perform system bring-up, troubleshooting and performance testing.
- Mentor engineers and build technical capability across the team.
- Collaborate with customers, architects, project managers and technology partners.
