Suncorp Group in Sydney seeks a pricing professional to develop dashboards, analyze data and deliver insights that support rate reviews, premium adequacy and portfolio performance.

You will collaborate with underwriting, portfolio, actuarial, finance and technology teams to translate findings into actionable pricing strategies while balancing customer outcomes and risk. A two-to-five year track in general insurance pricing or analytics is preferred. Hybrid work and study support are provided.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of general insurance pricing, actuarial analysis or portfolio management experience.
• Advanced analytical and statistical modelling skills.
• Proficiency in SAS, Excel, R or similar tools.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products and pricing methods.
• Understanding of budgets, profit and loss and commercial drivers.

About The Role

Join the Commercial Insurance Long Tail Pricing team and deliver pricing solutions that support sustainable portfolio growth and profitability. The team oversees pricing strategy and execution across the Professional Lines, Financial Lines, Corporate Liability, and Surety portfolios. You will analyse internal and external data, develop models and rating structures, and translate findings into practical portfolio insights. Working across Pricing, Underwriting, Portfolio, Actuarial, Finance, Claims and Technology, you will balance customer outcomes, risk adequacy and commercial objectives. Your work will support pricing reviews, portfolio monitoring, governance and timely price changes. You will also identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve analytical capability and strengthen pricing methods.

What You’ll Do

• Develop pricing dashboards and monitor key portfolio performance measures

• Prepare clear pricing papers and recommendations for stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• Bring two to five years of relevant general insurance experience in pricing, actuarial analysis or portfolio management
• Apply advanced analytical, problem-solving and statistical modelling skills to complex business questions
• Use SAS, Excel, R or other programming languages to analyse data and improve efficiency
• Demonstrate knowledge of commercial insurance products, pricing methods and regulatory environments
• Understand budgets, profit and loss outcomes, and the commercial drivers of insurance
• Communicate technical information clearly while managing priorities and adapting to change
