Job summary

Datacom Canberra is seeking a Senior Solution Advisor to translate client needs into commercially viable managed services. You will lead presales, shape solution designs, costings and proposals, and collaborate with sales and technical teams to deliver compelling responses.

You’ll work with government, enterprise, and industry clients to develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective managed services aligned with Datacom standards and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Seven years of IT experience with presales or solution design.
• Experience with complex managed services and multi‑platform environments.
• Strong pricing and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Drive presales solutioning for complex managed services opportunities from qualification through proposal submission.
• Translate requirements into costed, defensible solution designs across the portfolio.
• Build cost models, pricing inputs, assumptions and dependencies for approvals.
• Prepare high‑quality RFI/RFP responses with designs, service descriptions and pricing.
• Coordinate inputs from technical, delivery, sales and other teams to deliver end‑to‑end proposals.
• Participate in customer workshops to clarify needs and win confidence in proposed approaches.
• Review designs for alignment with Datacom architecture, security and delivery standards.
