State of Victoria is seeking a Practice Leader Aboriginal Family Led Decision Making to collaborate with practitioners and teams, strengthening case practice with Aboriginal children and families. You will co-convene AFLDM meetings with community partners to develop plans that ensure safety and stability for Aboriginal children and young people.

The role requires an understanding of Aboriginal culture, relevant legislation, and the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience in Aboriginal family-led decision making and child protection practice.

Responsibilities

• Co-convene Aboriginal Family Led Decision Making meetings for Aboriginal clients to develop plans.
• Advise on risk assessment and analysis to support practice with Aboriginal children and families.
• Lead planning, review and management of issues in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
