Job summary

Burson, part of WPP, is seeking a Senior Account Director to lead strategic client portfolios across corporate communications and integrated campaigns.

You will mentor teams, drive multi-channel strategies including AI-enabled approaches, and pursue new business while ensuring profitability and client value. This role demands senior leadership, client advisory excellence, and a passion for innovative communications.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in corporate communications and client leadership.
• Strong sector experience in B2B and/or technology.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi channel campaigns.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven revenue and profitability management.
• Deep understanding of media, influencer and digital ecosystems.
• Experience incorporating social, digital and AI led solutions into communications strategies.
• Exceptional presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, defining and managing expectations at executive level.
• Drive multi channel strategy incorporating PR, social, digital, influencer, content and emerging AI capabilities.
• Oversee quality control of all client deliverables, ensuring excellence in strategic thinking and execution.
• Leverage analytics, digital insights and AI driven tools to enhance strategy, measurement and optimisation.
• Own profitability and revenue targets across allocated accounts.
• Act as a line manager and mentor, actively developing talent and future leaders.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency and accountability.
• Drive new business activity, including leading proposals, pitch processes and conversion strategies.
• Work closely with the ELT on agency wide initiatives and strategic priorities
