Job summary

Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Support – Power Electronics Systems, to join the APC Product Team in Redmond, WA. This on-site role allows occasional remote work based on project needs.

You will support design, development, production, and customer support of APC power electronics systems, addressing manufacturing and field issues while driving design improvements and verification testing.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of direct experience in power electronics, power supply design, motor control, and analog design.
• Strong knowledge of electronic/electrical circuits and components; ability to read schematics.
• Adept understanding of Ohm’s Law & Op Amps.
• Knowledge designing to DO-160 and other standards.
• Proficiency with schematic tools, enterprise tools, and standard simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support design and production of APC power electronics systems.
• Address manufacturing and field-related problems; propose design and process improvements.
• Conduct verification testing for design changes and component obsolescence.
• Review and prepare technical drawings and data for alternative components.
• Operate lab equipment to perform design verification and circuit testing.
