Job summary

NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s Local Land Services policy team seeks a Senior Policy Officer to help research, analyse and develop policy solutions supporting strategic priorities across NSW regional areas.

You will contribute to policy reform, Cabinet coordination, Ministerial and executive briefings, and cross-government projects, advising on complex issues and helping deliver practical outcomes for communities and landholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in policy development, implementation, review or legislative reform.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
• Experience preparing high-quality written advice, briefings and reports.
• Knowledge of government decision-making processes, including policy and legislative frameworks.

About The Role

As a Senior Policy Officer, you'll play a key role in researching, analysing and developing policy solutions that support strategic priorities across Local Land Services. You can contribute to policy and legislative reform, biodiversity and land management initiatives, Cabinet coordination, Ministerial and executive briefings, and cross‑government policy projects. Working with stakeholders across government, industry and the community, you'll provide evidence‑based advice on complex and often sensitive issues while helping shape policy outcomes that deliver real benefits across regional NSW.
