Job summary

Boots Civil in New South Wales is seeking an experienced plumber to join our civil and construction team. You will work on site with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency, reading plans and installing or maintaining stormwater, drainage, sewer and underground services.

The ideal candidate will have proven plumbing experience, a current licence, and a Certificate III in Plumbing, with the ability to work independently and support apprentices while upholding our safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plumber, preferably within civil/construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance.
• Experience with stormwater, drainage, sewer, water and underground services.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of levels, grades, falls and pipe installation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to identify hazards and work safely around plant, machinery and other trades.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently when required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support apprentices and less experienced workers.
• Certificate III in Plumbing – CPC32420 or equivalent.
• Current plumbing licence/registration appropriate to the role and jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience in civil plumbing, drainage and underground services.
• Competent in reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of SWMS, JSA/JHA, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Understanding of underground service identification and working around existing services.
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching and working safely in and around excavations.
• Ability to carry out quality checks and identify potential issues before they become problems.
• Commitment to our safety, quality and efficiency standards.
