Senior Platform Engineer — OpenShift Migration Lead

Job summary

XPT Software seeks a senior platform engineer to lead the migration of the internal platform from an RKE-based deployment to OpenShift. This ownership role covers design through to productization and operational handover, working closely with SMEs.

You will drive end-to-end migration planning, configuration of the OpenShift environment, and the establishment of operational playbooks and runbooks for the production-ready platform.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on OpenShift design, deployment and administration.
• Experience migrating platforms from RKE.
• Proven track record on platform/infrastructure migration projects.
• Familiar with monitoring/alerting/observability and operations.
• Ability to own end-to-end transformation initiatives.
• Telecom/network domain exposure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration from RKE to OpenShift from design to productization.
• Contribute to platform re-architecture decisions with SMEs.
• Stand up and configure OpenShift, ensuring parity with the current platform.
• Implement full operationalization: monitoring, alerting, and alarms.
• Onboard L1/L2 teams, create runbooks and support processes.
• Take technical ownership of the migration programme across stakeholders.
• Support APIGee integration points as required.
