Job summary

Bendigo Health in regional Victoria is seeking a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join a major regional tertiary referral hospital. The role includes teaching interns, HMOs and registrars, and contributing to service development.

You will supervise junior staff, participate in on-call and outpatient care, and engage in research within a multidisciplinary team at a hospital undergoing redevelopment.

Qualifications

• Registered specialist with the Medical Board of Australia or eligible for registration.
• Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS or overseas equivalent.
• Experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Proven ability to supervise juniors and contribute to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop plastic and reconstructive surgery services and research.
• Work closely with a broad multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise junior medical staff and participate in teaching and training.
• Participate in the shared on-call roster.
• Provide outpatient services and manage new and follow-up patients.
