Job summary

NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) invites applications for a Senior Planning Officer to lead complex rezoning projects in NSW. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and project management to ensure statutory obligations and government goals are met.

Salary ranges from AU$142,695 to AU$152,731 plus super. Temporary full time until 30 June 2028, Parramatta office with flexible working supported.

Qualifications

• Degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant discipline.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and project management experience required.
• Ability to lead complex planning projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead state rezoning projects and manage cross-agency coordination.
• Coordinate technical studies and public exhibition processes.
• Provide clear advice to senior leaders on planning and infrastructure matters.
